Marion Franciosa of Delray Beach, Florida, had peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the age of 98 yrs.

Marion "Dalo" was the first born of four children to parents Antonio Dalo and Maria "Veneziano" Dalo, both descendants of Italy, on October 8, 1919 in "the Bronx", NYC at East 216th Street where she lived for many years during her childhood. She attended schools in the Bronx growing up and then later attended Hunter College for her "famed" secretarial skills. She had then met her future husband Mauro(Murray) Franciosa through one of her close friends, Violet Franciosa, his sister. After Murray was honorably discharged from the Army and serving in WWII, they married on April 13, 1947 at Immaculate Conception Church in the Bronx and lived for many years in the Bronx. They remained living there where they eventually had two daughters, Rita and Lydia. During her married life, Marion had several jobs until her last employment first as a receptionist and then as registrar at Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx until her retirement in the early 1980's and then relocating with Murray to Delray Beach, Florida of which they enjoyed many happy years together until the passing of Murray on January 23, 2006. Marion continued on living in her community where some of her family and friends joined her nearby, and through the years enjoyed playing many card games, local casino trips, and clubhouse activities, but she will always be known for her delicious homemade cooking of which she loved preparing and everyone that consumed them truly enjoyed and appreciated!

Marion is preceded in death by her beloved husband Mauro, her brother Daniel Dalo and her sister Eleanor Fortini. Surviving is her sister Anita(Dolly) Pelliciari, her two daughters, Rita Porvaznik and her husband Ken, and Lydia Postolowski, her four grandchildren, Gina Regalado and her husband Luis, Paul Metivier and his wife Luisa, Melissa Postolowski, and Craig Postolowski, and her five great-grandchildren, Paul and Anthony Metivier, Alexander and Isabella Regalado, and Jason Postolowski.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Palm Beach National Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Road, Lake Worth, Fl. 33449, 561-967-1200, at 11:15AM on Monday, February 26, 2018, followed by a Burial Service at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, Fl. 33449, and a reception to follow.
