Obituary for
Marie E. Buonopane
Buonopane, Marie "Re-Re"of Delray Beach, Florida (formerly of Massachusetts), died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at the age of 69.
Marie was the beloved wife of Marcy Mazer. The devoted mother of the late Dawn Kelly-Sullivan and her husband Scott of Barrington, RI, Lynne Kelly and her husband Salvatore Schirripa of Danvers, MA, and Aaron Kelly and his wife Joan of Bedford, MA. She was the dear sister of David Buonopane and his wife Carol of Winchester, MA, Paul Buonopane and his wife Patricia of Wilmington, MA, Steven Buonopane and his wife Kathleen of Naples, FL, Phyllis McGill of Raymond, NH, and Kathleen Pergola and her husband Joseph of Winthrop, MA. She was the cherished nana to Connor, Payton, Aidan and Aislyn, and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her brothers Robert and Michael Buonopane, and her sister Margaret Teeling.
Family and friends will honor Marie's life by gathering on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 2-5 at the Palm Beach National Chapel, 10055 Heritage Farms Road/Route 41, Lake Worth, FL, Thursday afternoon at 12:00 pm for a funeral mass in celebration of Marie's life at Emmanuel Church, Delray Beach, followed by a funeral procession to the VA cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marie's name to a charity of your choice.
Marie was born in East Boston, MA on May 26, 1948 to Anthony and Margaret (Babb) Buonopane. She worked several jobs including owning her own clothing factory, MB Sportswear, and working as a nuclear medicine technologist which gave her much joy and pride. Marie loved to travel, laugh, play cards with friends, cook and show pictures of her grandchildren. She was the Treasurer of the Italian-American Club and was a member of the Ladies Guild.
