Miriam  Major
Miriam Sue Frank Major, 78, of Lake Worth, FL and formerly of Coral Gables, FL and Blowing Rock, NC, passed away on September 5, 2017. Survived by her husband of 57 years, Marshall; children, Hillary M. (Steven) Rosenberg, Melissa Rose Major, and Jonathan Mace Major; grandchildren, Zac, Jack, and Anna; sister-in-law, Anita Schwartz; and best friend, Patti Barrett.

Miriam is a graduate of the University of Miami and taught at Earlington Heights for many years. Along with her husband, she owned Marshall Majors Restaurant Caterer in Coral Gables for 20 years and they summered in Blowing Rock, NC during that time. After Hurricane Andrew, they relocated to permanently to Blowing Rock and opened H. Andrews Blowing Rock Garden Center. A member of Temple of the High Country and Y.P.O, she had the honor of holding title of past President of Junior Y.P.O.

Miriam will be laid to rest at South Florida National Cemetery on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 1:45 P.M. A Memorial Service will be held at later date. Donations may be made to Temple of the High Country, PO Box 2895, Boone, NC 28607.
