Obituary for James Gustav Bugniazet

James Gustav Bugniazet
James Gustav Bugniazet, 79, of Delray Beach, FL passed away on August 10, 2017 peacefully surrounded by his wife and three children. Born in White Plains, NY, he was the middle son to the late Edward A. and Elizabeth A. Bugniazet. He was affectionately known as "Jim" or "Pop." He treasured the time he spent with his family, especially his eight grandchildren. Truly the proud father of three. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life –family and friends. Pop was happiest sharing time with them especially at the beach or pool, laughing and all being together. He will be remembered for his gentleness, modesty, and devotion to family.

A lifelong resident of Rye, NY, Jim later retired to Delray Beach, FL. First being a snowbird for a number of years, then making it his permanent home. He proudly served in the U.S. Army both active and reserve. Jim was extremely proud of his life long career as an electrician with over sixty years of active membership in The IBEW Local 501.

Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan; their children, Mary Theresa (Peter Giunta, Jr.) Bugniazet, Karen Elizabeth Vanneck, and James Joseph (Rachael Joy) Bugniazet; and his brother, Edward A. (Ann) Bugniazet. With fond memories of "Pop” he leaves behind his grandchildren, Lindsay, James, William, Christopher, Matthew, Max, Jordan and Faith. Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph L. Bugniazet.

Jim will be laid to rest at South Florida National Cemetery. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. with a luncheon reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Trustbridge Hospice in his memory.
