Obituary for Sandra Justine Amanatian

Sandra Justine Amanatian
Amanatian, Sandra J. , of Boynton Beach, FL passed away on May 9, 2017. Sandi was born Sandra Justine Ciras on June 29, 1942 in Lawrence, MA to Alfonse C. Ciras and Irene L. Paquette Ciras. She attended local Catholic schools and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1959. She married in 1960 her beloved late husband Sam S. Amanatian of 54 years. Her commitment of raising a family was second to none. While family was her main objective, Sandra managed to work for over 20 years at Victor Service Bureau as Supervisor of Switchboard Operations while moonlighting in detective work for the same company. She loved to read and educate herself. Sandra was an eloquent writer where pen would rise to any situation good or indifferent. She had a keen eye for antiques and could never pass up a bargain. Sandra loved her vacations with family, camping and travelling within the US and to several countries reveling in their cultures as she loved to experience new things. Sandra loved animals and treated the family pets as if they were her own little children. Sandra’s biggest attribute was her loving heart. She would reach out and unforgettably touch the lives of many people throughout the years. One example, every year she would find somebody who had no family or friends locally and would insist on them spending Christmas with her family. She was a very religious Catholic who continued her charitable ways throughout her life. She would always put the well-being of others before her own and that is truly her legacy.

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Shawna J. Amanatian of Boynton Beach, FL; her son, Stephen J. Amanatian of Bradford, MA; her sisters and brothers-in-law, JoAnne Ciras (Allan Johnson) of NH and Susan (Jay) Costello of AR; and nephews,Zachary Costello of MA and Jonathan Costello of AR. Sandra is also survived by her aunt, Rita Bellevance of CT, as well as many cousins. She also leaves her beloved Maltese, Chloe. Loved ones also include Stephen Caffrey of Methuen, Kathy and Brianna Molten of Bradford. A special heartfelt thanks to the Caffrey, Cellemare, Ciras, Croteau, Faiella, Kandralyan, Larosier, Lauterri, Paquette, Schettino, Tomassino and Traficante families for their continued love and support now and throughout the years. Memorial Contributions made be made to Trustbridge Health Hospice, 5300 East Avenue West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
