Lawrence Robert "Larry" Davis
Lawrence "Larry" R. Davis, born of Jean Willing and Linton R. Touchton (New York, NY 1939), Larry left this planet April 5 in the AM. Raised in Maryland. Attended Towson High, University of Baltimore, and US Marine Corps which instilled discipline, loyalty, and commitment. He credits the Marines for putting his life on the "Right Track".
Survived by his best friend and adoring wife of 37 years, Linda Ashley, brother Bob Touchton (Karen), stepsister Nancy Klein (Jim), and many loving nieces and nephews in addition to many long-term friends. He was preceded in death by younger brother Charles "Chuck" Davis.
As a Florida State Certified Building Contractor, he worked since the 70's in the insurance industry throughout South Florida. He was a compassionate and fair man, who believed in "win-win" situations. Friends state Larry was a gentleman with great dignity and pride. He was a long-term student of Yoga and a world-class Poker player, participating in the 2008 "World Series of Poker" in Las Vegas.
Services to be held Friday, May 19 at 1:00PM sharp at South Florida National Cemetery on Rt. 441, Lane #1. Contributions in memory of Larry may be made to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue or Salvation Army (Lake Worth Division). Semper Fi
