Obituary for
Stanley Olbris
Stanley Olbris, 76, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away on March 29, 2017 after a battle with lung cancer. Born in Lawrence, MA he was raised by his mother and stepfather, Jennie and Orlando Sanguedolce. Stanley was prepared to join the priesthood until he met the love of his life, Rita Tatarunis Olbris. He later joined the United States Army where he proudly served with Special Forces.
Stanley was a true hero in every way. He served in Vietnam and volunteered as a firefighter and EMT in Earlton, NY. It also brought him great joy to help those in need as a volunteer and worker for the Red Cross. In his spare time he loved hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. Stanley also found joy in sports, particularly NASCAR, New England Patriots, and Boston Red Sox.
Survived by his wife of 57 years, Rita; their children, Kathleen Pickens, Edward Olbris and his husband Richard Adamski, and Joanne Olbris; and grandchildren, Erica, Tyler, and Anthony. Also left to cherish his memory are the joys of his life, his great grandchildren, Madison and Wyatt.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 1:00 P.M.
