James Patrick Molloy Jr.
James Patrick Molloy, Jr., 91, of Cudjoe Key, Florida passed away on March 2, 2017.
Those who knew and loved him called him Jim. Jim was born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 23, 1926. He graduated from High School in Massachusetts and earned his Bachelors of Science degree from Boston College. Jim enlisted in the United States Navy in 1944 and received an honorable discharge in 1946.
Jim retired from General Motors Acceptance Corporation after 30 years of service. After retiring, Jim and his wife, Patricia C. Molloy traveled the world, and included their children in many of their splendid vacations. Together Jim and his wife built their dream house in Cudjoe Key, moving there permanently in 1992 to fish and enjoy paradise. They named their fishing boat Jim ā nā I.
Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, reading and solving crossword puzzles.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of almost 63 years, Patricia C. Molloy; his daughter Maureen Molloy; son-in-law David Squier; his son Michael Molloy; daughter-in-law Pam Molloy; his two granddaughters, Kayleigh Molloy Davis and Brieanne Molloy; one great grandson, Logan Davis; his many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James Patrick Molloy and Catherine Flynn; as well as his sister, Patricia McDermott.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 12:30 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. at Palm Beach National Chapel. Burial will follow at South Florida National Cemetery where Mr. Molloy will be laid to rest with Honors.
